Consultation has concluded

The District Council of Yankalilla is responsible for approximately $150 Million of Infrastructure Assets. It provides and maintains these assets on behalf of its ratepayers for the delivery of services to the community and visitors to our District.

Appropriate asset management is required to achieve Councils objective in providing infrastructure that meet the levels of service expected by the community in a cost-effective manner.

The Draft Buildings Infrastructure Asset Management plan provides information on the

  • The extent and value of the assets under the care and control of Council
  • The current levels of service adopted for each of the asset types.
  • The Life cycle costs to maintain renew (work required to return an existing asset to its original condition and useful life) and to provide new assets identified in Councils Strategic Plan.
  • Improvements required further improving and refining asset management processes.

Infrastructure Asset Management Plans are documents which will provide guidance to Council in its service delivery and budget allocations over the next ten years.

Council is seeking feedback on the above Infrastructure Asset Management Plan for consideration prior to adoption.
