The District Council of Yankalilla is responsible for appropriately managing public access to Council and Committee meetings, as well as the availability of associated documents, within legislative parameters.

Under the Local Government Act 1999, Councils are required to review this Code periodically and seek public consultation on any proposed changes.

Our Code of Practice goes beyond minimum legislative requirements, committing Council to a biennial review to ensure it remains current and relevant. This review is now underway, with several proposed amendments identified.

Council is now seeking community input to ensure the Code continues to reflect our strong commitment to transparent and accountable governance.
