Council invited community feedback on its draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026–2030 to help us better enable people with disability to connect with Council.
Community Consultation - Closed Friday, 27 February 2026
Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback on Council’s Revised Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026–2030.
Throughout February, we invited people living with disability, carers, support workers, community organisations and the broader community to share their experiences and insights. Your feedback will help guide how Council removes barriers and improves the way people of all abilities engage with our services, facilities, programs and decision-making.
We appreciate the thoughtful contributions received through Your Say Yankalilla, written submissions, conversations with project staff. Your insights will help shape a Plan that reflects local experiences and sets a clear direction for inclusion through to 2030.
What happens next?
All feedback is now being reviewed and analysed. Key themes and insights will be summarised in a Community Engagement Report, which will be presented to Council alongside the final DAIP 2026–2030 for consideration and endorsement.
The engagement report will be and on Council’s website once available, so the community can see how your feedback has informed the final Plan.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Council on (08) 8558 0200 or email participate@yankalilla.sa.gov.au
