Council and SA Water have been working on a proposal for SA Water to take over ongoing responsibility for the drinking water supply network within Wirrina and our entire sewerage network throughout the District.
Council and SA Water received feedback from the community in 2018 that required additional investigation to determine what the overall effect of the change would have on the Council and the Community and the pros and cons of the proposal.

Council have now completed those investigations and invite you to come along to either of the Public Meetings being held on Friday 15 February 2019, at 1.30pm or 6.30pm at the Yankalilla Council Chambers, 1 Charles Street Yankalilla.
At the Public Meetings, Council will present the results of the investigation undertaken in 2018. Following the Public Meetings, the feedback will be collated and presented to Council during March for consideration and a final decision.
There are a number of advantages and disadvantages of the
proposal to transfer the Wastewater & Wirrina Water Supply to SA Water. We are keen to seek the views of ratepayers and residents across
the District to inform our decision making. Do you think we should make the transfer? If yes, why? If no, why not?
